    Dro's Corner - Week 2 (14-15) DrosCornerFinal

The Week 2 Edition of Dro's Corner is here! Time to take a look back at Week 2 in the UFL!

    Top Topics for Week 1

Falcons Found Their Wings? - If you watched the game between the Falcons and the Steelers, you probably thought that Pittsburgh was on their way to a Week 2 victory. But mid-way through the 3rd Quarter, it seemed as if the Falcons found their wings. From that point on, the Falcons scored 27 unanswered points to come around and defeat the Steelers 41-38. It seemed as if the balance of power shifted in the game, with Pittsburgh pretty much domination the 1st half, and the Falcons the 2nd half. It's wins like this that measure a champion. And speaking of champions...

Seahawks Win Bird Battle? - The Seattle Seahawks were able to win the 1st divisional bird battle of the season, edging the Cardinals 33-28. The Hawks were another team that was able to respond after falling behind early. After allowing 21 1st half points, the Seahawks only allowed 7 in the 2nd half while scoring 16 of their own. Jamarcus Austin had another ridiculous game in this one, as it looks like he is really blending in well with his new team. Austin went 24/38 for 477 yards with 3 TDs (1 INT). The champs are looking good right now at 2-0.

Parris = Paydirt? - The Washington Redskins were able to edge the Philadephia Eagles (under a sub coach) in a game that came down to the wire. After a Ronnie Brown TD that put the Eagles up 28-24, The Redskins had a little over 2 minutes to make something happen. Washington seemed to be in a bind when they found themselves on their own 10-yard line, but that didn't last long. Andrew Parris would drop back and heave a pass to Randall Wheeler that would result in a 90-yard TD, leaving 1:46 on the clock. The Eagles could not get a score, giving the Redskins a 31-28 victory. Parris struggled with his accuracy in this game, but he was able to put together scores when the team needed it the most. He ended the day going 12/28 for 299 yards and 4 TDs (2 INTs). Nice win for the Skins as they get ready to face a pretty good Green Bay Packers squad in Week 3.

Supercharged? - The San Diego Chargers offense was on fire in a 56-35 win over divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs. They collected 671 yards of total real estate against the Chiefs, with Vincent Jackson stealing the show. He was able to grab 9 balls for 343 yards and 4 TDs. Turnovers really hurt the Chiefs in this one, as they had 6 of them (all INTs). Other than that, the Chiefs offense was pretty impressive too, but the Chargers were just a little too much on this day.

Nice write up just saw it. And no I wasnt running up score, i scored an 8 yard td on 3rd and goal in the 4th after I ran it the entire drive killing clock. I certainly didn't try to run it up. Box score is misleading.
