Packers end 2 game skid, defeat Bills 23-3 on a rainy Lambeau Field.

Will try and throw up a recap and highlights soon but may have to wait until tomorrow.

Great game Sway. Was a lot of fun.

Saints sqeak out a win against the Lions 37-35 on a last second FG.

Great game Shameless. We both had an opportunity to walk away with the W!

We did...then you STOLE IT FROM ME! Sad

Haha...great game for sure as the Saints running game dominated and their D forced the Lions into untimely turnovers. Not going to be easy to get back on track next week vs. the Pack again. (why did I leave the Ravens again?)

Packers D steps up to end 2 game skid, defeat Bills 23-3

    Week 5 recaps Matthews31

5 picks and 3 sacks lead way on rainy Lambeau Field

Green Bay -- Sometimes it is easier than it looks.

For the Green Bay Packers, the last two games have been anything but easy. However, tough defense and solid running proved too much for the Bills and snapped the Packers' 2 game losing streak.

"We just wanted to come out here and get back to playing football," said Head Coach Dustin Coil. "The last two games are gone...behind us. And we needed to act like it."

The Packers struck first on a 69-pass from Turner to Hardrick which gave the home team a 7-0 lead.

Mason Crosby would tack on two second quarter field goals to put the Pack up 13-0 but the Bills would not give up as they found themselves inside the Packer 30 with just under 2 minutes left.

But Buffalo's plans went south in a hurry when Terrence Newman picked off a Levi Brown pass and return it 81 yards for the touchdown to give the Packers a 20-0 leading heading into the locker room.

"At halftime I decided we didn't want to get soft and let them back in it but at the same time we didn't want to get over aggressive and let them back in it," Coil said.

The Packer D made it all irrelevant as they put up an outstanding performance in the second half.

Ryan Lindell's 38 yard field goal with 4:31 left in the 3rd quarter would be the Bills' first and only points of the game.

    Key Stats:

Keith Rivers: 2 interceptions, 1 sack, 1 torn bicep. Out 11 weeks.

Woodson, Newman, Hardnett each came up with a pick.

Hardnett also racked up a sack, as did Clay Matthews.

    Highlights:

Kevin Leopard intercepts a Turner hail mary at the end of the 1st half

Veteran Charles Woodson goes up high to pick off Levi Brown. The future hall of famer now has 4 picks on the season.

Levi Brown scrambles right and throws left to what he thought was an open Lee Evans. But Newman jars the ball loose and Rivers makes the INT.

Newman takes a pick 81 yards to the house in what was a game changing play.

Rookie WR Hassan Hardrick takes a Turner pass 69 yards for a TD:

Great game Sway. Hope we play again. If not this year, hopefully plenty in Madden 12. I haven't had that much fun in Madden 11 in quite a while.

Nice recap. Although, I think the caption for the pic should be more along the lines of "Clay takes a poop."

Great recap Dustin...you're right that pick was the sealer...would've been 13-7 my ball 2nd half, instead Newman makes it 20-0....smh...

AND everyone should take notice at how Dustin plays this game. He beat my ass and didn't cross me to death or do ANY sort of cheese, played the game extremely sim and showed great comraderie at the end...well played Dustin. That's a loss I can respect.

I gotta say it BUT go through each playbook in the game and you'll see that AT LEAST half of it involves a cross of some sort. If they come open they come open but in most cases a cross is almost unavoidable. We should also BAN AND BOOT THE CHEESEBALLS! Smile XoXo

Oh I agree with ya there Rorbo...but my two losses this season were very different..one I lost because I was dragged to death, the other was a humbling loss because I was outplayed..you can run crosses just don't make it your whole offense...
