Re: Week 12 Recaps
Skins come back down 24| Beat Vikes 34-31
Laron Landry comes up big forces 3 TO's
The Redskins had another tough opponent in front of them with the Minnesota Vikings coming to town. Both teams were 6-4 and looking to stay in the playoff
race. Coach Lockdown told our reporters his team was ready for the challenge and was looking forward to the battle. The Redskins won the toss and differed
to the second half. The Vikings came out swinging, driving down the field on the Skins D. The Redskins did make a stand and stop the driving Vikes holding
them to only a FG. The Redskins put a drive together of their own, but FS Martwon Baldwin had other plans jumping a route taking it back 53 yds for a TD,
putting the Vikes up 10-0 in the first. The Redskins were plagued with turnovers in the first half and added another costly turnover in the redzone with a
fumble by rookie RB Cecil Johnson. Adrian Peterson really went off scoring on the next two posessions from 41 and 39 yds out. Andrew Parris probably had
his worst first half of the season trying to force the issue to get his team back in the game. Parris also hooked up with CB Richard Marshall for two int's
as well for a total of three in the first half.
It was time that the Redskins start playing with a little pride down 24-0 with 2 mins left in the first half. Andrew Parris settled down and drove his team down and connected in the back of the endzone with WR Randall Wheeler with 1:46 left on the clock. The Skins D took the field looking to create a turnover and Laron Landry lead the way. On a dive right Landry came in and wrapped up Peterson punching the ball out from behind him as they were falling and Albert Haynesworth jumped on the ball on the Vikes 30 yd line. The Redskins took advantage of the field position and HB Ben Tate scamperd in from 7 yds out making the score now 14-24 heading into halftime. The Redskins had the momentum and did not left up coming out of the half scoring the next 20 points holding the Vikes without a score until 53 secs left in the fourth quarter. Landry also added two int's which proved to be huge and really set the tone for the rest of the game. Andrew Parris threw two more Td's as well, one to FB C. Davis and one to Anthony Gonzalez. The Skins were tied up with the Vikes and the pass to Gonzalez ignited the stadium as he crossed the middle of the field on the pass and made one guy miss and took it 86 yds to take the lead for the first time of the game 31-24 with 3:07 left on the clock. It was time for the Skins D to step up and end the game and that they did. CB Phillip Buchanon stepped in front of a Donovan Mcnabb pass which sealed the game. Gano hit a FG from 52 yds to go up 34-24 with 1:51 remaining in the game. Mcnabb drove his team down and connected with WR Syndey Rice leaving a onside kick to decide the game. The Redskins recovered and ended with two kneel downs to complete the teams largest comeback win in coach Lockdowns History down 24-0 in the first half. The Redskins improve to 7-4 and head to the 2-8 St. Louis Rams for their next test. GREAT GAME Vikes!!

Re: Week 12 Recaps
Pack Take Out AFC Favorite Wright and his Browns With Literally No Time Left
Cleveland, Ohio
The Green Bay Packers went into Cleveland with a chip on their shoulder, out to prove that they can play with the big boys in the NFL.
Determined to make every opponent play with both hands on the controller, GM Finz was look for some R. E. S. P. E. C. T. by taking on the defending AFC Champ Wright and his Browns.
First Quarter
Both teams were firing all cylinders on defense and none on offense as the first Quarter ended with 0's on the board.
Second Quarter
The Brownies scored first by kicking a 40 yard FG to take the lead. Every yard was earned on this drive. I believe it was a 12 play drive by Wright. The Packers answered back a few drives after with Nile Turner finding Greg Jennings for a 12 yard TD pass to take the lead. After a James Davis Fumble, the Pack recovered and kicked their own 40 yard FG as time expires in the first half to lead the game 10-3.
Third Quarter
The Browns started with the ball but found that it would take a huge effort to move their way down the field. The were successful to a certain extent and kicked a 49 yard FG. Felix Jones carried the Pack on the subsequent drive and capped it off with a 1 yard plunge after a huge 57 yard catch by RB Bernard Scott to extend their lead to 17-6. On the ensuing kickoff, CB Vonte Aron split the seam and took the rock to the house to steal all momentum away from the Pack. After a 2 PT convert, the Pack head into the last Q up 17-14.
Fourth Quarter
The Pack continued their hot play by ending a long drive with an 8 yard TD run by Bernard Scott to go up 10 point with 5 minutes left. The Browns woke up on the next drive and marched down the field in just over 1 minute and scored on a 12 yard pass to James Davis. This is where the game gets interesting...
Up 3 with 4 minutes left, Felix Jones is asked to carry the load and kill as much clock as possible. He is pretty successful and the Pack are slowly but surely moving the ball down the field. After 2 short gains on 1st and 2nd down, GM Finz had the choice of running the ball one more time, forcing Wright to take a T.O. and punting the ball or going for the dagger and getting the final first down to seal the win. Of course we went for the kill, got picked, and allowed the Browns to score with 9 seconds left on the clock. At this moment, the Browns are up 28-24.
Wright kicks off and we get the ball at around our 40 yard line. After a short gain through the air and a quick T.O., the Pack have the ball on the 50 yard line with 1 second left. Nile Turner throws to Greg Jennings on a corner route, well short of the endzone but hoping for a miracle. Jennings makes the grab in triple coverage mind you, and draws a 15 yard face mask penalty with 0:00 left on the clock!!!
With the ball on the 16 yard line and no time remaining, here is what happened:
