Blackmon's kick return TD leaves Saints feeling blue
New Orleans -- When the Saints scored the go ahead touchdown with 33 seconds left the entire Superdome felt the taste of a much needed victory.
Enter: Will Blackmon.
"I just ran man," said Blackmon. "I just ran."
Blackmon, a backup FS, ran the ensuing kickoff 84 yards for the game-winning TD. In a matter of 14 seconds the Superdome went from frenzy to panic.
The Saints would get the ball with about 15 seconds remaining but with only one timeout and the entire field in front of them, Rodgers and Co. faced a tough task against the all-pro QBs former team.
New Orleans spread the field and with nobody open, Rodgers scrambled for his 9th time on the night, but it would prove to be costly as Rodgers coughed up the football allowing the Packers to grab an easy recovery.
New Packer QB Nile Turner would do the kneeling honors as the Packers win the big battle of two 6-4 teams desperately needing a win.
Great game Finz!
