Face 2 Face Season 4 Week 12 with Dro
Dro one of the best and most faithful to our beloved UFL. Bro it is an honor to have you on today. Most already know you but for those who don't or could possible get to know a little more this segment will give them and all the F2F loyal readers a chance to take a look into the life of Dro.
1. Sup Dro, Thank you for agreeing to do this segment man. It's a huge pleasure to be able to interview you. I just found out you've been announced as the new HC and GM of your old team the Titians how does it feel to be back at home?
Thanks for having me Jersey, it's an honor to be apart of this segment. Man it feels good to be back with the team that I started with. When I left the league back in early February, it was like a part of me was missing. I got another chance with St. Louis, and I can't forget about the time I had there and how I was received. I'm very thankful for the opportunity they gave me there, and I wish I could have had a more successful tenure with them. But, you can't let those things get u down, you have to keep working. Now that I'm back with the Titans, it's an opportunity to pick up where I left off and hopefully turn the team back into a playoff contender next season.
2. What are you expectations now that your with your old roster? Should we Expect A-rod to keep going with his crazy stat year, Or maybe go back to some fundament football and slow down the pace of the game?
More than likely we are gonna try and slow things so that we can get a feel for the offense again. Definitely going to try to establish the run again. I had some trouble doing that in St. Louis this year, which put a lot a pressure on Sam Bradford, but all that falls on me as a coach. I gotta be able to put these guys in the best situation to win. So we gotta get the run game going to make A-Rod's job a little easier.
3. One of the biggest trades under your term as GM was trading CJ in a trade where you got A-Rod.. Looking back on that now what are your thoughts on that? If you could have the chance to UN-Do it would you and why?
CJ is definitely a great player, there's not doubt about that. He's having one heck of a season up there in Denver right now, so he's proving he still can go. The problem that arose with me was his injuries while in Tennessee. I think back in Season 1, he suffered a herniated disk that kept him out for 10 weeks, then the following season he suffered a broken collarbone that kept him out for another 11 weeks. At the time, we seemingly were putting together some victories, so I figured if we could win without him maybe we could get some value for him in the offseason. So I pulled the trigger and brought in Rodgers. Even though Rodgers hasn't really been successful under me, I won't undo the trade. We got a pretty good upgrade for CJ at QB, it's just that I have to put him in better situations. I feel like our backs are coming along so we'll see how it all pans out in my 2nd tenure with TEN.
4. What should we expect from the Titians on what could possibly be the final year before the End of UFL 2.0? ( Until UFL3.0 in Aug.)
You can expect to see us give it our best week-in and week-out, win or lose. We're gonna work hard and hopefully that pays off for us. It won't be easy, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
5. What are your goals this season or is this year dead to you and just focusing on the Draft and making a big run come next season?
For this season, it's important that we establish a rhythm. We need to get something going so that we will have something to build on for next season. While we are already out of the playoff hunt, we still have some games where we can experiment and even get other players out on the field to take a look at them. So it's important for us to finish strong for the remainder of the year.
6. What lead you to start Dro's Corner? I personally Enjoy it very much one of the best contents it points out winners per week and Picks games for next week and just highlights all of the great things from the pervious week so thank you for proving such great work man.
Thanks man, glad you enjoy it. When I returned to the league, I wanted to get back to contributing. And at first, I came up with an idea of doing Top 5 plays where the UFL owners would send in replays and I would pick the top 5 in my opinion to be featured on the UFL site. In addition to that, I thought of doing a blog segment, which would also feature those highlights. But after a while, both of those ideas just evolved into what is now known as Dro's Corner. It's something that I enjoy doing, and I hope the league enjoys it too. Just my way of giving a little back to a league that's been so great to me.
7. Speaking to our friend Njrenard we both agree having you back in AFC South your known as one of the most sim and honorable guys can you share with us what that means too you?
That means a lot coming from you guys, especially Nrenard. This is a guy that's been with the UFL a long time, which proves his loyalty to the league. Not only that, but he's a stand-up guy who's been nothing but sim in our games. I feel like if there's anyone I can count on in this league, it's Nrenard. And other guys like jp, INAG, Zikry, Cards, Sway... I mean the list can go it with guys I feel that way about. The UFL is not only a league, but it's sorta like a brotherhood.
8. As the season is coming to an end what are your Predictions and who will you be rooting for this season?
I wouldn't mind seeing those Denver Broncos make some noise in the playoffs (LOL). But my gut is telling me that it will be the Colts battling the Falcons for that UFL Trophy this season. I think the Colts will rebound from their lost in the playoffs last season, and make it to the big one. And in the NFC, I really don't see anyone beating the Falcons in the playoffs, so I'm gonna go with the Colts vs. Falcons for UFL Bowl VII.
Thanks again Dro truly a UFL'er for life right here guys glad you could join us bro.
