Late Kick Return by the X Factor Seals a Big Win for Vince Young and the Saints Saints-Reggie-Bush-leaps-over-49ers-Shawntae-Spencer-in-San-Francisco

Comng off a disappointing lose to the division rival Atlanta Falcons, the Saints travelled to San Francisco to take on the UFL's leading tackler Patrick Willis and his struggling 49ers.

The game began with the 9ers getting the ball. Newly rejoining GM Man In Motion was running the ball with relative success until the UFL's second leading tackler, Jonathan Vilma wrapped Frank Gore up and forced a fumble that CB Jason McCourty jumped on. However, Vince Young and the offense was not able to make any headway and wound up kicking a FG to go up 3-0. The 49ers took the ball and were lead this time by Saints castoff Mark Sanchez, who shreaded the Saints secondary and wound up throwing a 33 yard TD to Roy Williams. The Saints marched right back with a 40 yard TD pass to recently hot WR Taylor Price. Saints end the first quarter up 10-7.

The second quarter began and once again Mark "Dirty" Sanchez was playing very well. So well in fact that he found the Genetic Freak, Vernon Davis for a 26 yard TD. Davis proved to be a handful for the Saints as he ended up with 8 grabs for 202 yards and 2 scores. Jonathan Stewart continued the back and forth game with a 1 yard plunge and Frank Gore answered right back with an 11 yard TD of his own. At the end of the first half, the 49ers were up 21-17.

The second half began with the Saints on offense and we didn't waste any time as Taylor Price grabbed his 2nd TD of the game, this time from 38 yards and the Saints retook the lead 24-21. After a Dirty Sanchez INT, the Saints were once again marching and Reggie Bush caught an 8 yard TD pass to extend the lead to 10. Sanchez brushed off the INT and lead the 9ers down the field and found the Freak for his 2nd TD to reduce the lead to a FG.

The fourth quarter began and once again the Saints marched and Vince Young continued his great play and found TE Jimmy Graham on a 13 yard pass play and the lead was once again 10. True to form, the 9ers marched right back down the field and scored on a QB sneak with Dirty Sanchez but the Saints would never lose the lead again. Reggie Bush returned his 3rd kickoff for a TD. After a Revis INT, Reggie ran in from 9 yards out. After 2 more late scores by the 9ers, the Saints were victorious 52-45.

    Great game Man in motion!!

    Notes:

Vince Young finished the game with 4 TDs and no picks. The first time he has done both under the FInz regime.

J Stew went over the century mark for the first time since week 9 and for only the second time this season

Jonathan Vilma is now only 4 tackles away from Willis for the league lead.
