MADDEN 12 pushed back 3 weeks... Ian Cummings out???

For Madden 12, I think it won't make a difference. I think they had a good vision, but the power of EA comes from the PR and marketing department. I think they never had full choice of what they wanted to do. With new people in, it might make a change, but not before 2-3 years I think.

Well if Ian & Co are going to a new developer they could possibly be on the frontline of much needed competition for EA. Im sure lots of things will be "cut" from Madden. Assuming Ian & Co leave, who will "fix" whatever they installed?

This might be the year that I don't buy Madden. We will see. How do you make changes to a development team in the middle of production.

It's happened with quite a few games and it's not like the game developed is some ground breaking new game. It's Madden and at this rate I'm guessing it just a matter of dotting some I's and crossing some T's. The blue print has been there for several years. The new team will come in and hopefully inject some additional innovation, hell maybe they'll finally cater to the community most important to the franchise. The league guys. Great news in my opinion and I'm not worried about the game at all. Sucks it's pushed back but there are also A LOT of great games coming out so the push just gives some of us extra time to play the other stuff.

Yeah, I think this is good news too. I don't mind waiting around a little longer for Madden 12 to release. It is kind of surprising to hear that Cummings is out along with some others too... I hope that good things come from those roster moves. Only time will tell.

It probably doesn't mean anything for 12. But pushing the release of 12 back 3 weeks might mean that we have another season of 11 to play. 3 weeks is about 7 games, so depending on when we finish the next season, we might have time for 1 more.

It was time for some new blood. With no comp to push them a new team will want to put their own stamp on the game. Hopefully that means fixing everything that wrong with 11

Madden 12 will suck, we can all be optimistic; I mean I really hope Madden 12 is great but I seriously doubt it
