Jets bounce back with win over Dolphins 23-13

DT Scott Wilson celebrating after sacking QB Pat White
After a heart breaking loss to the Ravens last week the Jets really wanted this win against the Dolphins, and they got it. Jets defense really showed up in this one making a statement after getting to QB Pat White nine times in the backfield.

Jets offense played mediocre at best, but did enough to help solidify the Jets win over the Dolphins.

Drew Brees has not been putting up big numbers for the Jets but has been doing a great job of not turning the ball over with only 3 ints on the year. Brees has lost his number 1 target WR LaVon Waiters till the playoffs and hopefully this doesn't affect his numbers even more, although Brees numbers are low he does just enough to help the Jets win ball games and always comes through when they need him most. Against the Dolphins Brees went 11/19 for 187 yards and a TD. on the ground game Jets have been doing pretty solid between McKnight and Jackson but word is Jackson wants out of NYJ, and GM/Coach Bombs has said ask and you shall receive, Bombs has stated he will get Jackson out of NYJ this upcoming offseason no matter what it takes, He also said Jackson is a great back and he understands he should see alot more carries but they like what they have in McKnight and he will become the main back next year but until then he will continue to split carries with Jackson. Jackson is getting up there in age but not showing any signs of slowing down and I believe splitting carries with McKnight has added some years to his career, but I understand he wants to prove he still has it and wants to go out with a bang. Jackson only had 11 yards against the Dolphins while McKnight had 48 and a TD neither of the 2 put up impressive numbers.

We would like to see the Jets offense step it up next week against the Panthers, Defense can't do it alone.

On the other side of things Jets defense look to be back in form this week and a big reason for the Jets victory.

Whenever you can get to a QB 9 times your team has no reason to lose, Jets defensive line dominated the Dolphins front 5 all game frustrating QB Pat White all night. Jets also had 2 forced fumbles and a int on the night, Rasean Jefferson put some some solid numbers with 6 tackles and 1 sack on the night. Jefferson has not had a year like his rookie year, while he is still a problem for offenses we expected more from Jefferson after his superb rookie year. Kevin House has been having a solid year replacing Marius LaVain leading the team in tackles right side Jefferson with 31. House had 4 tackles and the only int of the night against the Dolphins. D Lineman Tamarick Thomas had the best game of his young career with 3 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on the night, this kid shows alot of promise. DT Scott Wilson chipped in with 3 sacks of his own, this young kid gets of the block fast to be as big and strong as he is I like watching him play.

When the Jets defense shows up to play they can look like the best defense in the UFL, but they need to stay consistent especially as we enter the later weeks of the season.

Jets Defense wreak havoc on Panthers 31-21

Jets get to Clausen 5 times

    -New Meadowlands Stadium

New York Jets have another good game and remain undefeated at home. The Panthers didn't go down easy as they put up a fight the whole game, the Jets were able to pull it out in the 4th.

Jets offense played much better in this one putting up better yards and just playing a overall better game, although Brees did throw one int that went for a TD, but he made up for it the rest of the game.

Drew Brees was solid in this one going 11/17 for 219 yards, 2 TDs and 1 int, Brees has been on target all year with his throws when he does throw with a rating of 116.4. Jets ground game was pretty good this game rushing for 100 yards even and 2 TDs on the ground, FB Carey Johnson is showing more and more he can be a reliable goal line back when Steven Jackson isnt getting the ball. Looks like all the Jets wrs have stepped up since LaVon Waiters has went out with a broken collarbone, reports indicate he has another 7 weeks before he can return which means if the Jets can make it to the playoffs he will be able to return for the playoffs.

Jets offense will face a hot Colts defense next week, and even though they played a solid game this week they will need to turn it up just a little more if they expect to win next week.

Jets defense with another dominating performance, that Jets defensive line seems to have there grove after another stellar perfomance getting to the QB 9 times last week and 5 times this week, the defensive backs had a good game too with 3 ints on the night.

CB Champ Bailey had one of the better games of this season with 4 tackles and 1 int on the night, Despite Baileys age he's playing like hes in his prime. DT Scott Wilson has another good game and is proving to be a reliable DT his second year with 22 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and a int to his name through 9 weeks. Wilson had 4 tackles and 1 sack against the Panthers. FA pick up Tyjuan Hagler had a solid game of his own picking up 2 sacks on the night.

Jets defense will need to continue there dominance and get to Payton Manning often even if they can hurry him into a throw if they want to pull out the victory.

GG SRC GL the rest of the way bro
