When should we do the team draft?

Just figured that I'd throw this out there (I know final decision is Sway's), but I just wanted to see what everyone's opinion was on this.

Personally, I don't think free agency or even the ratings being released will affect my team choice that much. I'm just dying to get my team.

Now. Other than nnamdi. Who cares about free agency.

Agreed - and honestly Nnamdi alone isn't gonna make me want to choose a specific team

I think that waiting until rosters come out would be most fair especially to those with higher selections. Due to the turmoil of the offseason, I think after the games release we should wait for the 1st roster update to get things rolling.

Agreed. The rosters aren't going to change that much and if you do your research you should know which teams are going to be heavy hitters in FA and which teams aren't. I 100% do not want to wait until the end of August/early September to get this draft out of the way. No matter what though I'm sure Sway has his own ideas on the matter and will make that decision accordingly. The sooner the better in my opinion and I'd wager most of the higher guys would agree. I know I do.

I would rather wait until FA has opened and we have clearer idea of the rosters, but with the rank I'm picking, I don't mind when we choose.

When free agency is over ! a lot of guys out there espically on the jets holems braylon cromarti is 1 of the best Madden CBs u got Sidney rice WR and a few others nnamdi than CB from the bengals is nice too

I don't disagree BUT most of those guys are going back to their respective teams and I don't believe any one of the free agents are big enough to justify a "must wait" scenario. Yes there are some big guys but I'd venture a guess that most people already have their minds pretty made up as far as direction is concerned. I've been on my Texans from the word go. Either way I'm fine with whatever. You know me. I have to put in my two cents 40 times.

Agreed. The sooner the better as it creates more discussion, excitement and we can get started on the division rivalry smack!

Well all of the big free agents will most likely be signed in the next 2-3 days (not officially, but in principle) since the labor deal has tentatively been reached.

While I'm impartial due to my draft spot, I think it should either start ASAP or once ratings have been released. But I'm assuming a lot of guys here are going to pick based on real life interests as opposed to team rating.

I think ASAP, most people are choosing teams based on the teams they like, and not the actual rosters. Sway isn't going to pick someone other than the Bills based on a free agent signing, for example.

I think it will make it more interesting if we pick teams now, then watch with a keen eye how real life free agency pans out.

Not only will we be rooting for "our" teams in the real NFL to snag top FA, but, we will be rooting for our UFL teams to pull off that big signing as well.

Soon as I have 32 applications that I feel comfortable with we can start. Hoping to start in the next 2-4 days..

free agency is gonna be pretty much settled by next monday. we'll know where the big players will be going. sometime next week seems like a good time.
