With the current situation this will most likely be the last season in UFL before the break. We would literally be kicking off Season 5 right now and it looks like we might have to wait until end of May just to finish this season. Balls.

Wait this will be the last season or next season will be last season? Madden doesn't come out until the end of august right?

I will def admit I've gone from "okay just a couple days" to "are you serious?"

I will def not be trading in my PS3 however as I refuse to pay for online as well as a system that has caused more gamers issues than any other to date.

I don't really know what everyone will want to do renard...we planned to go another season but by the time PSN comes back on we would've been halfway through it. I'll see how everyone feels when in fact it does come on.

If its true that PSN wont be back until May 31st, that only leaves us with June and July and some of August to finish this current Season/Playoffs, do offseason tasks, and then burn through another full Season and Playoffs...

This month long break came at a bad time for us, because I feel like league activity was very good and we clearly could have finished One more season before Madden 12. Now though, I'm not so sure we'll have time.

360 sucks. PS3 first party games pretty much blow away any 360 first party games. Also, PS3 in a Blue Ray player, has wifi, and imo is just a more powerful system. Also it wont give you nearly the amount of headaches that a 360 will... If you get a brand new 360 today, I'll bet you burn through that, and maybe one more before Madden 13 comes out...

The PSN crash didn't really have anything to do with "Sony sucking". This Shit happens all the time in this day and age... Who's to say the same thing couldn't happen to XBOX LIVE? Do you think just because you pay $50 a year for their services, that something like this PSN hack could NOT happen to Live? According to reports, the group of Hackers that hacked PSN also hacked Amzon, Visa and some other MUCH bigger networks with much more security. To think that XBOX Live has some type of "un-hackable" security system just because you pay 50 bucks a year is kind of naive don't ya think?

But hey, who am I to tell someone how to spend their money lol...

Haha Jack, no wars coming from me. I just think its a little weak to bash a system simply because their online stuff got hacked. Do you think people stoped using Amazon or Visa because they were hacked? lol.

Btw, I too have a PS3 and a 360. I don't play my 360 as much, mainly just for its exclusive games that I enjoy like Gears of War and Forza. Imo, PS3 is the more complete system.

I can see your point. However, those factors don't have any bearing on my decision. I could care less whether or not my system has BluRay, Wi-Fi, or better first party games. Particularly since I play primarily all sports titles that I can play on the 360. I don't watch any movies on my PS3 since I have a home theater system in the basement and a DVD in the bedroom. For me it's more a matter of how Sony and their PR team has mis-handled the situation.

It is all good guys, my killer couple of weeks is over...I will call Sony today and tell them to turn PSN back on.

I was reading on a different message board and I thought I linked it here but I didn't so I'll hit you with some cliff notes and go dig up the link and post it. What I read states that when the PSN is back up it's going to be completely overhauled. As in Sony is using this down time to revamp everything and make the PSN as a whole more robust. Supposedly things like Cross Game chat are being considered for addition where if I'm playing Madden and my boy Nich-o-las is throwing down on say, NHL 11 we can still talk to one another. We're also going to be able to choose from 5 PS3 games and select 2 for free and the same for PSP titles. If they are beefing up the PSN as a whole and putting it more on the XBL level I don't mind the extended down time. Yes it blows but prior to online gaming most of us played offline exclusively. I've just bust out my single player games like Dead Space. My work schedule has also been nuts so it hasn't been the end of the world. Certainly not bad enough to get me out to the store to pick up a 360 and unload my PS3. I enjoy some of the 360 games BUT the PS3 absolutely SLAUGHTERS it as far as exclusive games are concerned and it's not close. Add in things like the soon to be released L.A Noire being 3 DISCS on the 360 and just one blu-ray on the PS3.

I may pick up a 360 at some point but no way will I unload my PS3 to grab one up. The online gaming portion is supposed to be up this weekend/early next week with the entire PSN back up on the 31st.

I guess this extended layoff has been good for me, since I'm in the process of moving on Sunday, so I might be a couple of days without internet and PS3 access lol! Can't wait to get back to playoff race though!

it may have been frank.....or maybe it was me??? Muahaahaha......Muahahhahahaaha. I get done with training next friday..so at that point, I will give Sony the ok to put it back up and we can carry on!
