Yeah, I've been reading something saying that PSN might have been attacked by an outside party or something. I tried to login several times just now so that I could get ready to play Rorbo but I couldn't get on. Here's one of the articles I read:

I've also read the same. I plan to keep checking for a majority of the evening but this could obviously put a bit of a thorn in our advance. Dro and I had scheduled our game for 2pm eastern. I was on the PSN last night till around 11:30 without issue so I'm guessing it's been down since then or at least damn close. Hopefully things get resolved soon. I think Sony opened a can of worms they shouldn't have when they went so hard at that hacker. They then had ANON aka Anonymous step up and basically threaten to bring down the house and it seems like they're succeeding. Hopefully this doesn't effect us for too much longer.

actually for me, it happened right in the middle of me and Slusha game last night.

Yeah, everything was fine up until the third quarter. This is crazy stuff! Hopefully the network will be up and running soon.

And i'll be more than happy to join this great league (once again) as soon as sony resolves this issue, and yes, they have been hacked by that super-nerd that they are currently sueing lol, go rams!

This would be your 3rd time in this league?

I actually read that it has nothing to do with "Anon" and something to do with over in Japan. Either way it sucks. I've read 2 days to several days. Let's hope it's on the shorter end.

yawn...somebody wake me up when this is over.

What's the status on this? I haven't really looked into it, but does anyone know?

It sounds like it will still be a while. They were supposed to start opening it up tonight in Japan but now they are claiming that they will be shut down "indefinitely" as they build an entire new system.

With a new system, Im wondering if it will fix some connectivity issues with Madden....!

the optimists say tomorrow, the pessimists have already traded their ps3 in for an xbox, and the realists say that is "should" be all done no later than a week from today. so who knows, lol.

It made the mid-day news here in Minneapolis saying that the PSN Network has indeed been hacked. They said that identity theft is quite possible. So, they recommended that we put a fraud block on our accounts tied to our PSN accounts. They didn't give a time line for when the network will be up and running again, but in due time. Even though this sucks balls, I'm not trading my ps3 in for anything! I'm a loyal Sony customer and I'm sure they'll solve this issue soon.

Yeah I saw something like that on CNN. I gotta hit the bank and change my debit card info.

not all bad news today...at least Peyton Hillis was chosen for Madden cover...hilarious.
